BEC have qualified engineers & supervisors who hold SNT Level II Eddy Current Testing certificate.
➔ Eddy current testing is an effective ‘Predictive Maintenance Tool’ which would indicate possible cracks, wear, pitting, wall loss and corrosion in nonferrous tubes.
➔ This test would avoid major shutdown or expensive repair costs of the plant.
➔ Eddy current testing is a noncontact method used to inspect non-ferromagnetic tubing. This technique is suitable for detecting and sizing metal discontinuities such as corrosion, erosion, wear, pitting, baffle cuts, wall loss, and cracks in nonferrous materials.
➔ Eddy Current Testing is sensitive to small cracks and other defects. The inspection gives immediate results and detects surface and near-surface defects.
➔ Tube health is identified on the percentage of wall loss.
➔ As this is an advanced NDT method of Inspection, skill and experience are highly recommended and BEC have qualified engineers & supervisors who hold SNT Level II Eddy Current Testing certificate.
APPLICATIONS:
➔ Air-cooled/water-cooled chillers
➔ Feed water heaters
